Appetizers

 

Onion Garlic Dip

Servings:1
Protein: 0
Carbohydrates: 3.5

 

Ingredients:

  • 90mls cold water

  • Garlic powder to taste

  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise

  • Dash of oregano

  • 1 tbsp chopped onions

  • Dash of chopped parsley

  • 1 Savoury SlimSafe sachet

  • Lite Salt or Celtic salt and pepper to taste

  •  In a small serving bowl, prepare SlimSafe sachet to a paste like consistency using a small amount of water.  Add remaining ingredients to the paste. Stir thoroughly until smooth and creamy.  Serve surrounded with sliced raw vegetables.

     

    Cheese patties

    Servings 1
    Protein: 2.5
    Carbohydrates: 3
  • 60gms cheddar cheese

  • 1 60gm egg

  • 1 Savoury SlimSafe sachet

  • Lite salt or Celtic salt and pepper to taste

  •  Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees.  Grate cheese. Beat egg and mix with cheese.  In a separate bowl mix SlimSafe sachet into a paste using a little water.  Combine with egg and cheese.  Drop spoonfuls onto a non-stick baking tray.  Bake a few minutes either side until desired crispness.  Wonderful appetiser or a great meal with salad.

     

     

    Parmesan puffs

    Servings: 1
    Protein: 1
    Carbohydrates: 3

     

  • 2 x 60gm eggs

  • 90mls cold water

  • ¼ tsp cream of tartar

  • 1 SlimSafe sachet

  • 1 tbsp parmesan cheese

  • Dash of lite or Celtic salt

  • Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees. Separate eggs.  Beat whites until foamy and add the cream of tartar and salt.  Continue beating until stiff but not dry.  In a separate bowl prepare SlimSafe powder to a paste like mix with a small amount of water.  Beat the egg yolks in to the SlimSafe paste.  Fold in the egg white and mix gently.  Add parmesan cheese, folding into the mixture gently.  Drop tablespoonful lots on a non-stick baking tray.  Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 8 puffs.
