Meat Dishes
Meat Loaf
90mls cold water 1 SlimSafe sachet 2 60gm eggs 90mls tomato juice 120gms lean minced beef 2 tbsp chopped onion 2 tbsp chopped green pepper 2-3 sliced mushrooms ½ tsp Lite or Celtic salt Pepper to taste
Mix SlimSafe powder to a paste using a little water. Add all other ingredients and combine well. Shape into a loaf and wrap in foil. Bake for approximately 45 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. Makes 2 large servings.
Hamburger deluxe
120mls cold water 1 SlimSafe sachet 30mls tomato juice 120 gms lean mince beef 1/8 cup chopped onion 1/8 tsp dry mustard powder ¼ tsp Lite or Celtic salt ½ cup sliced mushrooms 1 tbsp chopped green pepper ½ cup stalk celery, chopped ½ tsp butter 120 ml hot water 1 beef stock cube 2 tsp soy sauce
Mix SlimSafe powder into a paste with a little water and 30mls tomato juice. Combine the mix with minced beef and shape into small meatballs. Sauté vegetables and seasonings in ½ tsp butter as well as meatballs. Dissolve beef stock cube in hot water and add to meatballs. Add soy sauce. Cook rapidly until vegetables and beef are cooked to your personal preference. Makes 2 complete and very filling meals.
Beef Teriyaki
2 tbsp soy sauce Pinch of garlic powder 1 tsp ground ginger 90ml cold water 2 tbsp lemon juice 120 gms lean beef minced Sweetener to taste
Prepare marinade by combining first five ingredients together, shaking in a covered jar or blending in a blender at low speed. Shape minced meat into patties or meatballs. Soak meatballs in prepared marinade and leave up to 24 hours, turning occasionally. Cook meatballs on a barbecue or in a non-stick pan. These meatballs can also be made into kebabs alternated with mushrooms, onions and green peppers.
Ground Beef Scramble
60mls tomato juice ½ stalk chopped celery 90 mls cold water 1 SlimSafe sachet 60 grams lean ground beef Lite or Celtic salt and pepper to taste 1 tbsp chopped onion
Prepare SlimSafe powder to a past like mixture using a small amount of water and tomato juice. Combine mixture with lean ground beef. Place remaining ingredients in frying pan with a touch of water to stem vegetables. When cooked, add SlimSafe mixture to beef mixture and cook briefly on high heat until beef is browned. Stir constantly. Makes a quick and easy lunch or dinner.
Meatloaf
90mls tomato juice 120 gms lean beef mince 2 eggs 2 tbsp chopped onion 2-3 sliced mushrooms 2 tbsp chopped green capsicum ½ tsp Lite or Celtic salt 1 SlimSafe sachet
Mix SlimSafe powder into a paste like mixture, with a little water. Add all other ingredients and combine well. Place into a bread tin and cover with foil. Bake for approximately 45 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
Lamb Shish Kebab
60 gms cubed lean lamb 40 gms green capsicum cubed 35 gms mushrooms, cut in half
Marinate: 1 dessertspoon Low Salt Soy Sauce 1 tsp wholegrain mustard 1/3 cup dry ginger ale.
Marinade lamb cubes for at least 1 hour in the marinade mix. Remove the lamb and put onto skewers, alternating with capsicum and mushrooms. Put under hot griller. Will only take a few minutes to cook.
